In 2004, the number of SLLC meetings to be held each year was extended to four. The SLLC was the predecessor of the WCSSG. Two of these meetings were to adopt a fresh approach, creating an atmosphere to generate discussion and interaction. The meeting in September 2004 was the first of these and was conducted as a 'drop in day'. The Publicity Poster describes the event.

The objective was to provide an event where the local community and key stakeholders could receive and exchange information with the current site operators.

The day involved a series of information gathering stations and information exchange stations open to all throughout the day. The theme of the day was the Nuclear Site Plans (officially termed as Life Cycle Base Lines).
